IUVA (International UV Association) and Radlaunch.org recently announced that UVisor is the winner of an IUVA (International UV Association) 2021 award. The UVisor team received special recognition from the IUVA Executive Committee for their effort on the UVisor Project. UVisor has been selected to present at the 2021 IUVA World Congress https://iuva.org/2021-IUVA-World-Congress to be held in June this year.
Sandia National Laboratories, New Mexico, successfully tested a UV Chamber prototype of the UVisor with a MS2 surrogate virus which is 10x more difficult to inactivate than SARS-COV-2. The rate of inactivation was more than 99%.

Helpful is developing new ways for frontline workers and other employers with workers in close contact to stay safe from COVID-19 with a UVisor, a self-contained PPE device. The development of the UVisor has been supported by Helpful Engineering, a platform to bring together volunteer expertise to help fight social causes. UVisor, in a first step to bringing this medical device technology to market, has partnered with Sandia National Laboratories to support further development and testing of this innovative PPE device.
